Addil Abbas is an Iraqi actor, he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1984. He participated in more than 50 theatrical works. The play "Qatre Al-Nada" by director Salim Al-Jazaery was a turning point in his life, and made him enter the world of professional acting.1
In 2000, due to the deteriorating economic situation in his homeland, Addil Abbas decided to leave Iraq and begin his journey abroad. Amman was his first stop, where he lived for about a year and a half, during which he participated in an Iraqi TV series and an Arab drama.
He then decided to immigrate to Canada. There, he continued his studies and earned a graduate diploma from Brock University. Addil Abbas believes that his work in Canada contributed to honing his artistic talent. Although he was far from the Iraqi audience, he did not stop acting, as he participated in two theatrical works for a Canadian troupe, the first was titled “The Arab Trilogy” and the second was a story about love and sacrifice adapted from the Book of Songs كتاب الاغاني by Abu Faraj Al-Isfahani.2
