Adcolna is a small village of 371 hectares in Ponda Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Adcolna depends on BANDORA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and One spring. Adcolna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Adcolna's pin code is 403107[5], and village code is 00019200. The area of Adcolna is segregated as 36.19 hectares irrigated area, 75.54 hectares unirrigated, the 112.39 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 146.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 507 male, 170 female with 577 (85.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 438 males and 139 females. 31 males and 21 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 100 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BANDORA and North Goa to sell coconuts and make their living.
