OccupationAl-Qaeda commander

Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami (Arabic: أبو هاجر الحضرمي) is a top Al-Qaeda commander and one of the most popular Munshids (Anasheed singer) for Al-Qaeda. (note: Although Google thinks Maher Meshaal and Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami are the same person, these two are NOT related whatsoever.) He was born on 1986 in the port of Al-Mukalla and died in April-July 2015 also in the port of Al-Mukalla.[1][2][3]

Midlife

During his lifetime, Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami was travelling to many places, including Syria, where he met many Islamist groups, one of which was the Islamic State. Video proof of him shows that Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami was singing along an nasheed with Maher Meshaal and other well known members of the Islamic State. This made people think he was apart of the Islamic State but really he was apart of Al-Qaeda.[1]

Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami's Nasheeds

Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami was a popular nasheed artist as well. He produces very popular Nasheeds for example "We are the supporters of Shariah" (Romanization: Hinna Ansar as-Shariah) (Arabic: حنّا أنصار الشريعة) Which talks about them not being frightened or afraid for the American soldiers and their "thugs".[4] Abu Hajar Al-Hadrami also produced an English nasheed called "The battle for the hearts and minds" Which at the start talks about them not killing Americans just for being American, rather it's the evil that they do. The actual nasheed threatens to break the cross and explains that "The Da'wah will proceed to the end".[5]
