Abraham D. Sarache (born May 9, 1985) is a Venezuelan musician known for his contributions to the Progressive Rock scene, bringing a new instrument to the table: The Venezuelan Cuatro.
Sarache not only plays the instrument in the traditional way, but he found a way to implement it into Rock and Metal music.
His approach to the folkloric instrument has created an unpopular opinion among conservatives of the traditional Venezuelan music (Joropo, Gaita, etc.) and has ignited great support from the Metal community inside and outside of his native Venezuela.
Career
Abraham Sarache released his first album The Gardener in 2016 as a solo act, a concept album about interpersonal relationships and his sophisticated perspective on it.
During 2016 Abraham and his band (Tristan Turner on Bass, Garri Snowman on Drums) toured the Netherlands and Spain.
In 2018 his project had already established itself as a band and they released the EP "Kaleidoscope of Fears" about the negative side of generation Y (Millennials).
During 2017 and 2018 the band played in several venues around the Netherlands and Germany.
In 2020 Abraham Sarache(band) would return with the second part of their previous EP: "Kaleidoscope of Dreams" about the positive side of generation Y (Millennials).
During 2022 and 2023 Sarache and his new band (Tristan Turner on Bass, Sander van Elferen on Drums) would return to the stage with a tour around the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Abraham Sarache is currently working on what could be his Magnum Opus: "A Book of Regrets", A concept album about the regrets of the dying and it is expected to be released in Autumn 2024.

Relevant facts
In 2014 he started a collaboration with the online learning portal TuCuatro.com where you can access a free course to modern cuatro techniques derived from guitar and piano used by Sarache himself.[1]
In 2018 a degree thesis about his vanguardist use of the Cuatro in modern music was presented at the Arturo Michelena University by Michele Molines.[2] She highlighted not only the creativity in placing a traditional folk instrument in metal music, but also the peculiar way in which Sarache is octaving and distorting the 4-string nylon instrument.
Abraham Sarache has toured The Netherlands, Germany, Spain and The UK and played major venues such as Melkweg, ProgPower Europe & Tótum Revolútum Festival.
His music efforts have gained international press coverage by the likes of Metal Hammer[3], Mariskal Rock[4] and The Progspace[5] among others, bringing the Venezuelan Cuatro to another level and expanding its use to more music genres.
