Abhijeet Dipke is an Indian political communicator, activist and founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical youth-led political movement launched in May 2026. The movement emerged after remarks made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant referring to certain unemployed youth as "cockroaches", leading Dipke to create an online campaign that rapidly gained national attention.[1]
Early life and education
According to media reports, Dipke studied journalism in Pune before pursuing a master's degree in public relations at Boston University in the United States.[2]
Career
Before founding the Cockroach Janta Party, Dipke worked in journalism, communications and public affairs. He became widely known following the emergence of the Cockroach Janta Party movement in 2026.[3]
Cockroach Janta Party
On 16 May 2026, Dipke launched the Cockroach Janta Party, a satirical political movement formed in response to public controversy surrounding remarks made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
The movement rapidly gained support among students and young Indians through social media platforms and focused on issues including unemployment, inflation, education policy, and examination controversies.[4]
Activism
In June 2026, Dipke announced a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi concerning examination-related controversies and education policy reforms.[5]
He subsequently returned to India from the United States ahead of the planned demonstration and urged supporters to participate peacefully.
