Aberaam Varma (born on 3 February, 1989) is an Indian model, actor, writer and philanthropist who has prominently worked in Telugu cinema. Known for winning the Mr. Andhra Pradesh pageant in 2013, he made his acting debut[1] with Hora Hori (2015) as an antagonist. His performances in films like Manu[2], Eakam[3] and Neetho are acclaimed by critics.
Early Life
Aberaam was raised in Hyderabad. He did his Masters in Management in Florida State University. He pursued theatre arts after graduation, and started out as a model. He gained recognition after winning the Mr. Andhra Pradesh pageant in 2013.
Acting career
Aberaam Varma made his film debut in a negative role in Hora Hori (2015). And went on to appear in Manu (2018), Raahu (2020), Bhanu (2020), Eakam (2021) and Neetho[4] (2022) on the film front.
He shot to fame with Manu (2018), which is the highest- and fastest-crowd funded film in Telugu cinema[5]. Although the film failed at the box office, it earned him good recognition. His next movie 'Raahu' gained attention when the song 'Emo emo emo[6]' sung by Sid Sriram went on to become one of the most viewed Telugu songs in 2020 on YouTube.
He played a Jobless God in the movie 'Eakam', won awards at Dream Machine International Film Festival and Global India International Film Festival for being a content-driven philosophical and spiritual drama.
He has done short films such as 'SOAP' (2010), 'Radha Krishna' (2016), and 'Varnamala' (2016). The TV mini series 'Locked' (2020), the TV series 'They Call Him Animal' (2021), and the TV series Jhansi (2022) are among his non-feature film appearances.
