Md. Abdus Salam Akanda (Bengali: মোঃ আব্দুস সালাম আকন্দ) (born March 1, 1977) is a Bangladeshi statistician and a professor in the Department of Statistics, University of Dhaka.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Education

In 2014, Akanda received his Ph.D. in Mathematics (Specialization in Statistics) from the University of Évora (Portugal)[8]. He also received his M. A. in International Political Economy in 2009 from the University of Tsukuba (Japan) under the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP)[9]. He earned his M.Sc. in Statistics in 1999 and B.Sc. (Honours) in Statistics in 1998 from the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh) with First Class distinction.[10] [11][12]
