Abdual Hoggard (born April 13, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player. Hoggard played with the Miami Heat practice team in the National Basketball Association (NBA), during the 2000–01 season.
College career
Hoggard, a 6'3" (1.93 m) tall shooting guard, attended Hertford County High School, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, where he played high school basketball. After high school, Hoggard played college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Elizabeth City. He played with the school's men's team, the Vikings, from 1990 to 1994. In his junior season, he averaged 15.9 points per game.[1]
Professional career
Hoggard began his pro club career in the United States Basketball League (USBL), with the Westchester Golden Apples. With the Apples, he was voted the 1998 USBL Most Improved Player of the Year.[2] Hoggard earned a spot with the Miami Heat practice team of the NBA, but he was released in May 2001. In four games played with the Heat, he scored a total of 14 points.[3]
Hoggard also played professionally in China, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Australia, Cyprus.[4]
