Abdelelah Zomrawi

Abdelilah Zomrawi is a renowned poet and former judge of the Sudanese Supreme Court. He was born in the ancient city of Karma,[1] which used to be the capital of the Kushites, he was born in April of the year 1959 AD.

He immigrated to the United States after he was arbitrarily dismissed by a politically motivated decision from judicial authorities in Sudan. He returned to work after the success of the Sudanese revolution and worked as a judge in the Supreme Court by a decision of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.[2]

In January of 2022 AD; Following the October 25, 2021, coup, and the killing of peaceful revolutionaries in the streets of Khartoum and the rest of the country's cities; Judge Abdelilah Zomrawi retired voluntarily from the judicial system in Sudan.

Mr. Zomrawi decided to return to his exile near Niagara Falls in Canada, where he resides now with his family. He has published six poetry collections so far: (Swords of the Eyelids), published by Al Jazeera Press, Boud Madani (1986), (The horseback of the Hard Work), published by Dar Azza / Madbouly (2007), (Songs of the Night) from Baal House for Printing and Publishing in Damascus (2008), (Drum of Passion) by Baal House for Printing and Publishing in Damascus (2010), (Two Tears on the Home)[3] by Sharqiyat House in Cairo (2012), and the sixth group; (Bitter Moon) issued by Dar Al-Warraq in Doha (2013)), and Sharqiyat House in Cairo reprinted the collections of (Songs of the Night and Drum of Passion), second edition 2014 . He has a seventh poetry collection entitled (Two necklaces of passion) under printing in Cairo.
