Abby Roberts (born July 27, 2001) is a British content creator, makeup artist, and singer-songwriter who gained prominence through her innovative makeup tutorials and character transformations on social media platforms, particularly TikTok. She has since expanded her career into music, releasing original songs and performing live.[1][2]
Early Life and Education
Roberts was born in Leeds, England. She began experimenting with makeup artistry at a young age and started sharing her creations on Instagram in 2013 under the username @abbyrobertsartistry. Her early work included both beauty and special effects makeup, often inspired by characters from films and popular culture.

Social Media and Makeup Artistry
Roberts gained significant attention in August 2018 after being featured in James Charles' "sister takeover" on Instagram.[3] Her creative makeup looks, which often involved elaborate transformations into various characters, resonated with a wide audience. She became particularly popular on TikTok, amassing over 17 million followers and more than a billion likes by 2024. Her content includes makeup tutorials, character recreations, and trend-based videos. Roberts has collaborated with brands such as Morphe and Colourpop and has been featured in campaigns for Anastasia Beverly Hills and L'Oréal.[4]
Music Career
In addition to her work in makeup artistry, Roberts has pursued a career in music.[5] She began singing at the age of nine and started sharing her musical talents with her online audience. In 2022, she opened for Halsey during a tour stop at the Xfinity Center. Her second EP, titled "Obscura," was released on May 24, 2024. The EP explores themes of self-reflection and personal growth.[6]
Personal Life
Roberts is openly part of the LGBTQ+ community. In 2022, she married her best friend and photographer, Sophie Buckley, in Las Vegas. The couple shared their wedding experience through a TikTok video, which included a proposal and a ceremony officiated by their tour manager.
