Aarti Gupta Bhadauria (born 1983) is an Indian sculptor based in Bangalore.[1]. Bhadauria is best known for her abstract art sculptures in terracotta medium[1]. Bhadauria has so far exhibited her art both in India and the USA, where she has received appreciation, honors and awards from various connoisseurs of art[1]

The reputed TheArtist.com USA awarded her ‘Honorable Mention’ in March 2022, and awarded second place in July 2022 during its ‘Artist of the Month’ competition.[2]. Bhadauria has received many awards including "Best in Show" by various galleries from the USA[2]. Bhadauria was selected for prestigious National Exhibition in 2020 by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi[2]. Bhadauria's artwork was selected by Garrison Art Center, Garrison, New York in December 2022 for smallWorks international exhibition[2]

Life and education

Bhadauria completed Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with a specialization in sculptures from Govt. Institute of Fine Arts, Gwalior.[1][2]. In 2009, Bhadauria moved to Bangalore after marriage and continued her work[1]

She wanted to do something different so she decided to promote the ancient medium of clay and terracotta in 2004.[1]. As the clay and terracotta is largely restricted to pottery or folk art, Bhadauria choose to creates aerial, handmade sculptures without armature which takes six months to make one artwork[1]. Bhadauria's sculptures are abstract and depicts waves of human emotions in various forms[2]. One can see her hand into her sculptures without seeing her name[2]. The Indian Achiever’s Forum conferred her with Indian Achiever Award 2023 in recognition of her achievements in the field of Arts [2]
