Aaran Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Tehran, Iran, founded in 2008 by sisters Nazila and Rana Noebashari. The gallery aims to support and promote the work of emerging Iranian artists, especially those who belong to the generation that grew up after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The gallery also organizes exhibitions and cultural events both in Iran and abroad, showcasing the diversity and vitality of Iranian contemporary art [1].

Nazila Noebashari is the founding director of Aaran Gallery. She has a background in shipping and transportation, but she decided to pursue her passion for art after collecting and patronizing Iranian artists for more than 20 years. She noticed a lack of gallery spaces and professional opportunities for artists in Iran, and she wanted to create a platform that would foster artistic expression and dialogue.

Aaran Gallery has two locations in Tehran: Aaran Gallery and Aaran Projects. The former is located on Karim Khan Avenue, a cultural hub that hosts many bookshops, publishers, theatres, and museums. The gallery occupies two renovated floors of a 1970s building, offering a spacious and modern setting for exhibitions. The latter is located in a historic district, in a heritage building that dates back to the 1930s. The building was designed by an Armenian architect and features high ceilings and a mix of old and new materials. Aaran Projects is used for special installations, group shows, and educational programs that involve local and international artists and professionals [2].

Aaran Gallery is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Iran, and it has been recognized by international media and institutions for its contribution to the Iranian art scene [3].
