AB & David Africa is a pan-African law firm headquartered in Accra, Ghana and founded in November 1997 by David Ofosu-Dorte,[1][2] It is first and only African law firm to receive Lexcel by the Law Society of England and Wales.[3]
History
AB & David Africa was founded in November 1997 by David Ofosu-Dorte as a partnership. In 2004, the partnership was converted into a company. It has offices in Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and its affiliates in Mauritius, Kenya, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Kenya and other African countries. [4]
Rankings and awards
- Honored with African Law Firm of the Year (Small Practice) and the Diversity, Transformation and Economic Empowerment Award by the Africa Legal Award in 2015.[5]
- AB & David Africa is the first and currently the only African law firm to receive the Lexcel Accreditation by the Law Society of England and Wales.[6][3]
- Law Digest Awards - Property, Infrastructure & Construction Team of the Year 2018.[7]
- The Legal 500 recommended AB & David for infrastructure development in our Corporate & Commercial and Energy practices, and oil and gas issues.[8]
