1 BMM is a small village of 329 hectares in Suratgarh Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 1 BMM depends on SURATGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 1 BMM is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. 1 BMM's pin code is 335704[4], and village code is 00286500. The area of 1 BMM is segregated as 116 hectares irrigated area, 148 hectares unirrigated, the 29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SURATGARH and Ganganagar to sell earthen pots and make their living.
