Ömer Ege Ziyaettin (born 20 May 2008) is a Turkish professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for Turkish Basketball Super League and EuroLeague team Fenerbahçe and the Turkish under-16 basketball team.
Club career
Fenerbahçe
Although being 16 years old at the time, Ziyaettin managed to get playtime in BSL in the 2023-24 season with Fenerbahçe under the coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius. He made his debut for the first team in a regular season match, against Tofaş S.K. on 3 March 2024. He played 10 minutes in the match and scored 2 3-pointers[1][2] He also managed to get playtime in the playoffs played against Anadolu Efes.[3]
International career
With the Turkish under-16 basketball team Ziyaettin played at 2024 FIBA U16 EuroBasket. At the tournament Ziyaettin achieved the average of 30.7 minutes, 17.7 points, 4.3 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 13.7 efficiency points[4][5]and was nominated for the MVP in the tournament along with 14 players in the tournament .[6]
