Ádám Tasnádi (born June 23, 1991 –) is a Hungarian entrepreneur, start-upper, and business mentor. In 2022, he was chosen for the ‘100 self made Hungarians’ list made by Forbes Hungary.[1] In 2021, he got on the Forbes ‘30 under 30’ list in Hungary.[2]

Early life

Ádám Tasnádi was born in Kiskunhalas, Hungary on 23 June, 1991. He spent his childhood in Soltvadkert[3] and graduated in Bibó István Secondary Grammar School in Kiskunhalas[4]. From 2010, he attended Corvinus University of Budapest and specialized in International Public Administration. In 2014, his faculty was merged into the University of Public Service. He already launched his first online businesses during his university studies; hence, he never worked in his original profession.

Entrepreneurial life

Since the age of 14 he has been interested in the business world. Mainly following discussions with his father about the potential future of online businesses. [5]

The first real business success of Ádám Tasnádi was the ‘My Road To Brasil’, a marketing project launched at the age of 22. In the execution of his idea he was helped by his former business mate Áron Lakatos. The goal of project ‘MRTB’ was to fundraise enough money to be able to travel to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He created a website where the countries of the World were purchased as banner advertisement surfaces by his sponsors. In return for their money the sponsors received media presence (on the website and in TV, radio shows where he was invited to talk about the project) and exclusive gifts from Brazil (for example sand from the Copacabana beach). Furthermore, he provided unique social media content for the sponsoring companies which was more cost-effective for them than sending their own team to Brazil. The project provided a solution for similar demand. Internationally known companies like Ustream, mediums like the Brazilian UOL, and many Hungarian celebrities joined the project.[6]

After the project ‘My Road To Brasil’ Ádám Tasnádi launched his own enterprise dealing with branding and online marketing. [7]

In 2017, he got to know his current business partner, Dóra Molnár with whom they launched a femtech startup producing period underwear called 'this is Redy' in May, 2019. Without using external capital[8] the startup made a 1 million EUR revenue and received several innovation awards by 2022.[9] The founders were chosen for the ‘30 under 30’ list in Hungary made by Forbes in 2021.[10] In 2022 both of them got on the Forbes ‘100 self-made Hungarians’ list.[11]

Lectures

  • In 2021, he was a guest speaker in the MBA programme (ISP) of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of BME University.[12]

Charity activities

Ádám Tasnádi considers it extremely important to educate and motivate youngsters, to support them in becoming entrepreneurs and to donate to organizations working for social mobility through education.[13]
