Kyle Kane (born March 11, 1983) is an American serial entrepreneur, content creator, producer, venture investor, and TEDx speaker. He is the founder of 180 South Group, a creative management agency.[1] He also serves as the chief marketing officer at Nobody Studios and is a former chief strategy officer at Beyond Pacific.[2]

With over fifteen years of experience in brand management, Kane's expertise and entrepreneurial spirit have led to keynotes and speaking engagements at major events worldwide. He has been featured in top publications for his work as CEO of 180 South Group, crafting successful marketing campaigns for some of the world's most prominent artists and brands.[3][4]

Early life and education

Kyle was born on March 11, 1983, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Through early adolescence, Kane was raised by a single mom, Faith Kane. Born as Kyle John Hennessy, Kyle changed his name at eight years old to validate being adopted by the late William Kane.

In 2001, Kyle attended the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a degree in marketing and small business management. From 2001 to 2004, Kyle studied at the University of Maryland and completed his studies in business administration, communications, music, and psychology.

Career

After touring with Shakira across 28 cities as a successful recording artist, Kyle started working in the branding industry, leveraging music as a form of advertising, where he quickly made a name for himself. He worked with some of the biggest artists in the world, developing campaigns for some of the most prestigious brands. His work was widely recognized, and he soon became one of the most sought-after creative minds in the industry. Kane began honing his natural entrepreneurial skills and brilliant marketing tactics. His professional affiliations include companies and roles such as the assistant to the director of urban marketing and promotions at TVT Records; assistant training officer at WEA Trust; songwriter and producer at ASCAP; general manager for Town Sports International; and VP for artists and repertoire at Universal Video and Music production.[5][6]

After years of experience, he started training people in sales and marketing and soon began hiring them to work for him. He held several executive positions and roles, including executive director at Nightstand Studios, Vice President for studio operations and digital solutions at Michael J. Hennessy Associates Inc., content curator at PWC, and chief strategy officer at Beyond Pacific.[7]

In 2011, Kyle decided to take his career to the next level and founded 180 South Group.[8] The company is a creative agency specializing in brand storytelling and content creation. With a focus on creating meaningful and impactful content, 180 South Group quickly became one of the most respected agencies in the industry. Kyle has worked with renowned celebrities and brands worldwide, like Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Samsung, Montblanc, and many more through this company. Over the years, 180 South Group has also expanded its services outside America. This includes South Korea, Denmark, Copenhagen, Costa Rica, Seychelles, Curacao, Mexico, Morocco, South Africa, Germany, and Spain.[9]

In addition to his work with 180 South Group, Kyle is the Chief Marketing Officer of Nobody Studios.[10] The company is a production studio that specializes in creating high-quality content for a wide range of platforms.
