Ashwin Alok (born 7 May 1995) is an Indian filmmaker, director and actor. He is the founder of Kreative Krew, a photography & video production company. He is also a content creator on Kreative Krew's YouTube channel. He has made several short films and some of those have won film festival awards as well. He has recently played the role of a news reporter in the upcoming web series by Amazon Prime, Tandav, starring Saif Ali Khan which is yet to be released.[1][2][3]
In February-March 2020, Ashwin has created two short films (Derwa and Namaste) for Uttar Pradesh government in association with the health department of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.[4][5][6]
Early life and education
Ashwin was born in Patna, Bihar. He attended St. Paul's School in Gorakhpur and finished his intermediate education in 2012. He, then, joined Lovely Professional University in Phagwara, Punjab and finished his engineering in Computer Science in 2016. In 2018, Ashwin completed his MBA studies.[7][8][9][10]
Career
While Ashwin was in his 2nd year of the engineering course, he joined an international certification course on fitness by International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), USA. After successfully completing this course, he got certified as a Fitness Trainer. To use his skills, Ashwin started Kreative Krew to promote athletes & fit individuals and make people aware about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Due to engineering studies, he could not invest time into this and things stopped working out.[11][12]
In October 2017, Ashwin shifted to New Delhi and resumed Kreative Krew by taking up photography & videography projects. As a beginner, he covered Zubeen Garg's concert at India Gate in New Delhi, Rasoi Queen (a cooking competition for women) and he was also a part of the media department in one of the events of Model United Nations Conferences in the world (ILMUNC) which was held in Hotel Hyatt Regency, Gurugram. As years passed by, Ashwin started making films for his YouTube channel and won awards in the film festivals.[13][14][15]
In January 2020, Ashwin published his 1st book 'Nazm-e-Qaasid' on Apple Books. Later, he published his book on Google Books and Amazon Kindle as well. Ashwin has also been invited twice as a Guest Speaker in an Entrepreneurial Summit held at JSSATE, Noida.[16][17][18]
