Amalia Holm Bjelke (born April 9, 1995) is a Scandinavia actress best known for her current work Fort Salem, where she portrays Scylla Ramshorn. As well she is starring in an upcoming Norwegian series Delete Me. She can speak several languages, native in Norwegian and Swedish along with fluent English and German..[1]
Early life
Amalia Holm was born in Oslo, Norway [2] and lived her early years there however she was raised in Sweden, learning her English from TV shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air|The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She decided to take up acting after high-school not expecting it to become a career. She is currently studying Social Science and security policy at The Swedish Defence University. In interviews she spoke fondly of singing for her family and Karaoke but not seeing it as a potential career.[1]
Career
After high-school Amalia begin acting, she got her first movie role in 2013 The Hidden Child. Later in 2014 she starred in her first lead in a film as Alena, a horror/thriller film in witch she played a queer character in a girls academy[3]
In 2015 she starred in her first television series En Delad Värld a show taking place in a female dominated society.[2]
Amalia auditioned for Motherland: Fort Salem|Motherland: Fort Salem through a self tape as she had done for many shows prior with no avail, and received a call for screening. She used the money from a previous role filmed in LA that was cut, to fly to LA and she got the role of Scylla Ramshorn.[1] Holm portrays Scylla a mysterious character in a dystopian world where witches fight for the army and society is more female-centered. She is the love interest of the main character as well as a prominent antagonist.[4]
