Joachim Kreuzburg (born April 22, 1965 in Höxter, Germany)[1] has been Chief executive officer of Sartorius AG since 2005.[2]

Life & Career

After studying mechanical engineering in Hanover (Germany), Kreuzburg worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH), where he worked on topics such as the economic and ecological assessment of renewable energies.[3] Then he moved to the University of Hanover to the chair of Professor Müller, and wrote his dissertation on a water management topic.[4]

In 1999, Kreuzburg joined Sartorius AG, where he initially worked in innovation controlling. He has been a member of the Management Board since 2002, was appointed Management Board spokesman in 2003 and Chairman of the Management Board (Chief executive officer|CEO) in 2005.

Kreuzburg is a member of the supervisory board of Carl Zeiss AG and deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Ottobock|Otto Bock SE & Co. KGaA as well as a member of the economic advisory board of Norddeutsche Landesbank.[5] As of 2021, he is the longest serving CEO in Germany's blue chip stock market index DAX.[6]
