Catalin Dascalu (born 11 May 1988) is a British entrepreneur[1] and blockchain expert.[2] He is the founder of The Luxury, a full-service, concierge and lifestyle company headquartered in London with six other offices worldwide. The Luxury is an exclusive luxury lifestyle management service known for offering four brand services, including Influencers Talent Agency, Retail, Lifestyle Management, and The Luxury Academy. Since its inception, The Luxury, under the leadership of Dascalu has served several prolific clients across a spectrum of industries making up to over 2500 subscribers, including 12 billionaires.[3]
Dascalu is also the creator of The Luxury (TLX), a digital currency with a market cap of $110 million, and the Luxury Bank, a fully functional platform serving the Crypto industry. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Luxury Bank known for offering Intelligent Crypto Solutions, mainly operating out of Dubai, UAE.[4][5]
As of 2021, He also serves as the chairperson of CCD Holdings and ECO Light Cities. By 2022, Dascalu will launch Luxandia.com, a unique project in the virtual reality space that aims to bring the $224.8 billion luxury industry to the metaverse.[6]
Early life and education
Dascalu was born on 11 May 1988. In 2006 he enrolled in The Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, graduating in 2010.
Career
Dascalu started his career with the establishment of The Luxury in 2014 which is a full-service, concierge & lifestyle company known for offering concierge premium services to Ultra net worth clients from different industries.[7]
Four years later, In 2018, Dascalu ventured into the blockchain industry and founded the Luxury Bank, a functional platform serving in the Crypto industry. This bank since then has facilitated multiple satellite projects and acted as a payment gateway for cryptocurrencies along with becoming a launchpad for marketing campaigns. The platform also has a number of rewards functions available.[8]
Dascalu, in the upcoming year, will launch a new project under The Luxury umbrella, titled Luxandia.com. This project aims to bridge the gap between real life and the virtual world by creating virtual malls that offer rental space for luxury brands. These malls can be customized as shopping centers and leisure locations such as cinemas, clubs, restaurants, and car showrooms, along with a single expo location.[9]
