Ameer Vayalar (born 06 December 1995) is an Indian Taekwondo athlete. He is currently India's youngest international Taekwondo coach and has represented India in international competitions.[1] Ameer has developed an Electronic Scoring System (ESS) for Taekwondo competitions in India, based on indigenously developed technical route networking technology.[2]

Early life

Ameer Vayalar was born on December 6, 1995 in Chertala, Alappuzha district Kerala. His parents are Yusuf Abdul Karim and Jamila Yusuf.[3] and he has an elder brother named Ansar. Ameer grew up in Vayalar and attended school there. In 2007, while he was still in school, his father enrolled him in a local training center to learn the martial art of Taekwondo for self-defense training.[4]
