Thekla J. Adam was born in 1860 in Buffalo, New York. Her mother Fanny was an immigrant from France and her father Carl an immigrant from Germany and a music teacher. Thekla also pursued a music career after graduating from Buffalo Seminary in 1874. She trained with Theodor Leschetizky and Fannie Bloomfield Zeisler.[1][2][3]
She died in Buffalo in 1923.[4]
