The Eggplant is a six-part New Zealand teen drama television series that carefully describes the dangers of the online world.[1] The series was made for TVNZ OnDemand and YouTube by Motion Sickness, which was directed by Sam Stuchbury and produced by Joseph McAlpine.[2][3] The series has some recognisable talent staring, with Karen O'Leary in the role of Principle Morris and Tammy Davis as Vice Principle Trev.[1][4] It was created and produced by Motion Sickness.[2] The cast also features young actors, icluding; Celine Dam as Mei Wong, Trendall Pulini as Darcy, Ben Porter as Logan Murray, Olivia Parker as Josie.[5] The series debuted on December 4th, 2020.[1]
Premise
After a giant paper-maché eggplant is found at Hilltop High, Principal Morris (Karen O'Leary) and Vice Principle Trev (Tammy Davis) begins searching for the culprit. Four suspects; Mei Wong (Celine Dam), Darcy (Trendall Pulini), Logan Murray (Ben Porter), and Josie (Olivia Parker) are singled out and interrogated, which leads Morris to find out a lot more than she bargained for.[1]
