Tarayan is a small village of 1226 hectares in Baberu Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tarayan depends on kamasin, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tarayan's pin code is 210125[4], and village code is 04814900. The area of Tarayan is segregated as 952 hectares irrigated area, 569 hectares unirrigated area. the 99 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 82 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tarayan has One post office (Parsauli B.O). Tarayan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Tarayan is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 3251 and has total administration over 560 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of kamasin and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
