Takhtpura is a small village of 1249 hectares in Jalor Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Takhtpura depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 14.33% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Takhtpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Takhtpura's pin code is 343024[4], and village code is 02296400. The area of Takhtpura is segregated as 39 hectares irrigated area, 337.45 hectares unirrigated, the 672.48 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 99 hectare area not available for cultivation.
