Swain is a small village of 797 hectares in Etmadpur Tehsil in Agra district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Swain depends on Etmadpur (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include , One Well supply, One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Swain's pin code is 283202[4], and village code is 01573700. The area of Swain is segregated as 665 hectares irrigated area, 38 hectares unirrigated, the 82 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 6 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Etmadpur (MB) and Agra to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
