Svetlana Arkadyevna Klepikova (born May 5, 1988) is a Russian powerlifter who was a multiple champion of Russia and Europe, and many international tournaments, and was named International Master of Sports of Russia.[1]

Biography

Klepikova was born on May 5, 1988 in the city of Kirov, Kirov region. She started playing sports at the age of 5. She preferred martial arts. At 16, she began her powerlifting career at the local municipal children's gym. The first competition took place in 2011, where Klepikova took first place. In 2015, she organized a championship in the city of Kirov, called "Lion Heart", where full-fledged athletes, children from orphanages, disabled people and difficult teenagers performed on the same platform. In the same year, she opens her own gym, where she begins to work with children whose parents are deprived of parental rights. In 2016, one of Klepikova's pupils became the Russian record holder in deadlift at the age of 15 with a result of 125 kg. In 2017, in the city of Moscow, she attended the II All-Russian scientific and practical school-conference on sports science in youth and adaptive sports. In 2018, Klepikova leaves for the country Latvia, the city Riga, where she undergoes training and receives a certificate of a gym trainer.[2]

2011

At the European powerlifting and bench press championships, which took place from 3 to 8 May 2011 Sochi, Klepikova took first place among juniors and women in the weight category up to 52 with a score of 70.5 kg. Having set record Russia among juniors and women.[3]

At the WPC World championships powerlifting and bench press, which took place from November 14 to 19, 2011 in Riga, Klepikova took first place among juniors in the under 60 weight category with a score of 81 kg.[4]

2012

On February 22, 2012, Klepikova was awarded the title of International Master of Sports in bench press without equipment.[5]

At the European powerlifting and bench press championships, which took place on May 5, 2012, Klepikova set a Russian record for bench press among juniors and women in the weight category up to 52 kg with a result of 70.5 kg in Sochi.[6]

At the WPC World powerlifting and bench press championships, which were held from November 6 to 11, 2012 in the city of Las Vegas, USA, Klepikova took first place among women in the under 60 weight category with a score of 95 kg.[7]

2013

At the European championships WPC, which took place from June 2 to June 9, 2013 in the city of Vila do Conde, Portugal, Klepikova took first place among women in the weight category up to 67.5 kg with a score of 100 kg.[8]

At the Multi - tournament "Golden Tiger" NPA World championships, which took place from 4 to 6 October 2013 in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia, Klepikova took first place among women in the weight category up to 67.5 kg with a score of 95 kg.[9]

At the Russian Powerlifting and Power Sports Championships, which took place from March 3 to 5, 2014 in the city of Belgorod, Russia, Klepikova took first place among women in the Russian bench press with a score of 35 kg for 52 times.[10]

At the Republic of Tatarstan Open Powerlifting Cup held on September 12, 2014 in the city of Kazan, Russia, Klepikova took first place among women in bench press in the weight category up to 67.5 with a score of 100kg.[11]

2015

At the Victory Cup in powerlifting, which took place from May 9 to 10, 2015 in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Klepikova took first place among women in deadlift in the weight category up to 60 kg with a score of 135 kg.[12]

2017

At the competition Final European powerlifting and power sports cup "Olympia - IV", which took place from June 8 to 12, 2017 in Sochi, Russia, Klepikova took first place among women in the Russian bench press in the weight category up to 60 kg with a result of 35 kg per 59 times.[13]

On June 12, 2017, Klepikova was awarded the title of International Master of Sports in Russian bench press.[14]

On October 3, 2017, Klepikova was awarded a judicial category in the city of Yekaterinburg, at the NAP powerlifting championship, as part of the "Golden Tiger - XI" power sports festival. Referee's license registration number: number 184 from 03.10.2017.[15]

From December 11 to 13, 2017, Klepikova became a member of the ll All-Russian scientific and practical school-conference on sports science in the youth and adaptive sports city Moscow. Center for Sports Innovative Technologies and Training of National Teams..[16]

Community activities

Klepikova and Evgenia Kolupayeva from Kirov organized the Lion's Heart Championship in Russian bench press for children and adults, in which children with disabilities also pressed the bar. This is the first such Championship in Kirov, and there are no analogues in Russia either. The experience of foreign countries pushed Klepikova to carry it out. Then the girls decided to create a public organization under the same name "Lion's Heart". The charter was written, the project was protected. The organization has several areas of work - including opening its own hall and holding annual competitions. In 2015, Klepikova became the founder of the public organization "Lion Heart" in the Kirov region, which will unite athletes and special people.[17]
