Surpur is a small village of 371 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surpur depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 35.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Surpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surpur's pin code is 314001[4], and village code is 03299100. The area of Surpur is segregated as 46 hectares irrigated area, 73 hectares unirrigated, the 144 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 107.94 hectare area not available for cultivation.
