Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir (born May 2, 1973) is an Icelandic visual artist. She works mainly in drawing, painting and installation. Hrólfsdóttir is the Dean of the Department of Fine Art at The Iceland University of the Arts[1] since 2016. Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir studied art at the printmaking department of The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts (1993-1996) and Department of New Forms, Pratt Institute, New York (1996-1997). She completed a BA degree in philosophy in 2013 and an MA degree in philosophy 2016 from The University of Iceland. She is a founding member of the art collective Gjörningaklúbburinn The Icelandic Love Corporation (www.ilc.is)[2] along with Eirún Sigurðardóttir and Jóní Jónsdóttir. Dóra Ísleifsdóttir was also a member of the collective (1996-2001). Hrólfsdóttir has exhibited work with The Icelandic Love Corporation in The National Gallery of Iceland[3] The Reykjavik Art Museum[4] AROS[5], Amos Anderson Museum [6] In 2007 she and the ILC collaborated with musician Björk for her album Volta.[7] this.is/sigrunhrolfsdottir[8] Sigrún Hrólfsdóttir's art studio is in Grandi, Reykjavik.
