Sherkhan is a small village of 418 hectares in Etmadpur Tehsil in Agra district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sherkhan depends on Agra (CB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sherkhan's pin code is 283201[4], and village code is 01566200. The area of Sherkhan is segregated as 381 hectares irrigated area, 249 hectares unirrigated, remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.
