Santar is a small village of 92.16 hectares in Baberu Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Santar depends on Baberu (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Santar's pin code is 210121[4], and village code is 04805100. The area of Santar is segregated as 25.12 hectares irrigated area, 57.92 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.64 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 6.4 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Santar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Santar is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1447 and has total administration over 274 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baberu (NP) and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
