Sankhan Tal is a small village of 1431 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sankhan Tal depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sankhan Tal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Sankhan Tal's pin code is 331303[4], and village code is 00602100. The area of Sankhan Tal is segregated as 217.01 hectares irrigated area, 1023 hectares unirrigated, the 88.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 103 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Churu to sell ghee and make their living.
