Sameeja is a small village of 351 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sameeja depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 48.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sameeja is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sameeja's pin code is 313906[4], and village code is 03094800. The area of Sameeja is segregated as 48.02 hectares irrigated area, 58.1 hectares unirrigated, the 104.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 140.32 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agr.equipments and make their living.
