ROBERT "Bobet" ANTE LEE RODRIGUEZA (born March 7, 1972) is a Filipino politician. He was elected as Governor of Sorsogon and served the province from 2016 to 2019.[1] Prior to his gubernatorial position, he was elected as Vice Mayor of Sorsogon City, in which he served from 2010 to 2013.[2]

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Robert "Bobet" Ante Lee Rodrigueza was born on March 7, 1972 in Manila to Raul Rodrigueza Lee and Sally Ante Lee,[3] who are both esteemed former mayors and governors of Sorsogon.[4] His elder siblings are Christine and Katherine. He graduated in elementary school from Colegio de la Milagrosa in Sorsogon,[5] secondary education at Lourdes School of Mandaluyong City,[6] and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Management at the Saint Louise de Marillac (SLMCS).

Robert "Bobet" Ante Lee Rodrigueza is married to Mary Grace Galang Rodrigueza. The couple has four children: sons Patrick and Jacob, and daughters Beatrice and Sofia.

Robert "Bobet" Ante Lee Rodrigueza, composed “Isn’t It Strange” and “Kahit Na” which included in the 2018 album “Sentimental” by True Faith,[7] one of the most popular bands in the country. “Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko,”[8] a Christmas song depicting the resilience of Filipinos in the midst of difficulties, is another composition interpreted by artists Dessa, Robert Sena, Jenine Desiderio, Edgar Alan Guzman, OJ Mariano, RJ Jimenez, Mich Liggayu, Krystal Brimmer, Fatima Lagueras and Lindsay Custodio.

POLITICAL CAREER

Robert "Bobet Ante Lee Rodrigueza entered into politics and was elected Governor of Sorsogon in 2016. However, prior to his gubernatorial post, he served as Provincial Administrator from 2013 to 2016.[9] He revived the Mobile/Floating Clinic, a program which gave Sorsogon province a Galing Pook Award July 28, 2000, that brought health services to remote coastal barangays. In his incumbency as Governor, the province of Sorsogon was given the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance,[10] by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), which represented the province’s journey towards good local governance, upholding standards of transparency, integrity, and service delivery.
