Ratanpur is a small village of 7 hectares in Ramnagar Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratanpur depends on Ramnagar (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. The area of Ratanpur is segregated as 12 hectares irrigated area, 26 hectares unirrigated area. the 306 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 8 hectare area not available for cultivation.
