Ratanpur is a small village of 453 hectares in Dhaulpur Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratanpur depends on BARI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Ratanpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ratanpur's pin code is 328029[3], and village code is 01103300. The area of Ratanpur is segregated as 135.06 hectares irrigated area, 92.02 hectares unirrigated, the 206.28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19.97 hectare area not available for cultivation.
