Ran Bahadur Singh, was the second MLA of 1957 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and 1962 Third Legislative Assembly .[1] 1957 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Basti District of Uttar Pradesh Harraiya Assembly constituency Participated in election on behalf of Congress from Haraiya (West) Legislative Assembly Constituency.
He was also a member of Provincial Congress Committee. He was also a freedom fighter and was jailed in the national movement of 1942[2]. Influenced by Gandhiji, he left his education midway and gave an important role in the freedom struggle. In 1947, National Inter College, Harraiya was started under his leadership and he opened many schools in Haraiya Vidhan Sabha while being an MLA.[2]
