Pura Kalan is a small village of 836 hectares in Bidhuna Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pura Kalan depends on SAHAYAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Pura Kalan is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Pura Kalan's pin code is 206244[4], and village code is 04126100. The area of Pura Kalan is segregated as 662.8 hectares irrigated area, 4.65 hectares unirrigated area. the 7.86 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 35.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.
