Punawar is a small village of 282.1 hectares in Bidhuna Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Punawar depends on bharthana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Punawar's pin code is 206249[4], and village code is 04098900. The area of Punawar is segregated as 226.02 hectares irrigated area, 20.98 hectares unirrigated area.
