Pongari is a small village of 780 hectares in Naraini Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pongari depends on kartal, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. Pongari is also near byOne lake. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Pongari's pin code is 210129[4], and village code is 04848600. The area of Pongari is segregated as 445 hectares irrigated area, 531 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 58 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pongari is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2166 and has total administration over 408 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of kartal and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
