Patrik Syversen (b. 1982) is a writer/director. He has directed seven feature films and three TV-series.

His feature debut Manhunt (2008), played festivals around the world, sold to several countries and was a commercially successful horror film, amongst those kickstarting the still ongoing wave of Scandinavian genre cinema. His next feature was Prowl (film), an American horror film released by After Dark Films and Lionsgate. In 2011, Patrik had two theatrical feature premieres: the experimental drama Exteriors, and You Said What? - which marked his comedic debut. The latter premiered at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX in 2011.

He followed up with the TV-series Hellfjord (2012) - for which he was a show runner and director - which also premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2012 to great critical acclaim. The series US remake has been acquired by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell’s former production company Gary Sanchez Productions.

In March 2016, his feature film Det Som En Gang Var was released theatrically by Norway’s leading distributor of Arthouse films. 2017 saw the release of two feature films, Dragonheart: Battle for the Heartfire, a fantasy/action-feature made for Universal Pictures and producer Raffaella De Laurentiis, and Demon Box, a dark thriller/drama which premiered at the Oslo Pix Festival in 2017, and followed up with screenings at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund the same year and the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival in San Jose.

In 2018, he directed episodes of the acclaimed series Unge lovende - and in 2018 Kieler Street was released in Norway. Syversen was the co-creator and showrunner for the 10 episode TV-series, and co-wrote all episodes in addition to directing nine of them. The series was nominated for the Nordic Film and TV-funds prize for outstanding writing at the Gothenburg Film Festival. He has since served as a writer on Anagram Norway’s relationship drama Between Us, and has most recently directed and co-written all episodes of seasons two through four of the award-winning Discovery+ series Sigurd Fåkke Pult.
