Paner is a small village of 687 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Paner depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Paner is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Paner's pin code is 313001[4], and village code is 03073500. The area of Paner is segregated as 45 hectares irrigated area, 90 hectares unirrigated, the 496 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Paner is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1398 and has total administration over 341 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell juggery and make their living.
