Motagaon is a small village of 1418 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Motagaon depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 5.16% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Motagaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Motagaon's pin code is 327021[4], and village code is 03379600. The area of Motagaon is segregated as 273.22 hectares irrigated area, 546.82 hectares unirrigated, the 155.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 443.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Motagaon is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4548 and has total administration over 1008 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
