Monastery Marcha is a Serbian Orthodox monastery located at 5095 Broadview Road in Richfield, Ohio [1]where early immigrants sought employment and first settled after coming from the Habsburg Empire but it wasn't until generations later after World War II that the old settlers together with the newcomers Twentieth-century émigrés-- in Richfield decided to build a church and monastery named Marcha. The original church and Monastery Marcha was tragically lost [2]through the forced seizure [3]of monastery[4]back in the Old Country during the time of the Second World War. To commemorate what was lost there the community elders decided to name the new monastery in Richfield in remembrance of the old.
The Monastery Marcha celebrates its patronal feast day, the Synaxis of the Archangel Gabriel, each year on 26 July.[5]
