Matthew R. Brady is an American director and producer. He is the founder and president of MRB Productions, a media production company producing feature films, sports promos, television shows, and commercials. Brady is best known for directing Escape from Extinction,[1] narrated by Helen Mirren. Other notable works include An Unexpected Christmas (2021), X Games 3D: The Movie (2009), All I Wish (2017), Back to Life: The Torin Yater-Wallace Story (2018), and Grassroots (2012).[2][3]
Early life and education
Brady was born and raised in the United States. He attended Daniel Hand High School.[4] In 1999, Brady graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Career
Brady started his career as a production coordinator for various short films and TV series.
In 2001, Brady established MRB Production, producing award-winning sports promos for ESPN and ABC. He has produced promos for the NFL Draft Open, Super Bowl XXVIII Open, and NBA Finals Open. Brady is also known for his celebrity spots with Samuel L. Jackson, LeBron James, Barack Obama, and Justin Timberlake.
Over the last decade, Brady has transformed MRB Production into a full-service media production company producing feature films, sports promos, television shows, and commercials.
In 2009, MRB produced its first 3D film, X Games 3D: The Movie. It has also produced two seasons of VH1’s Free Radio. He produced the 2021 Christmas movie An Unexpected Christmas, starring Bethany Joy Lentz and Tyler Hynes. He also produced All I Wish with Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn, and Ellen Burstyn.
For over two decades, MRB Productions has worked with Goodby, Team Detroit, Leo Burnett, Silverstein and Partners, Goody Silverstein, and Periera O’Dell. MRB Productions has also produced several award functions for various years, such as the American Humane Hero Dog Awards, Miss USA, and ESPY Awards.
Brady gained widespread recognition for his production of Escape From Extinction (2020),[5] a documentary film that explores the conservation of endangered animal species. The film, narrated by Helen Mirren, includes rare pictures of endangered animals and the work of zoological organizations to preserve one million species.
