Markhapur is a small village of 156.6 hectares in Ramsanehighat Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Markhapur depends on Satrikh (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Markhapur's pin code is 225404[4], and village code is 05768500. The area of Markhapur is segregated as 88.844 hectares irrigated area, 1.161 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 13.085 hectare area not available for cultivation.
