Marar is a small village of 238.6 hectares in Meja Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Marar depends on koraon, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply Two tanks, Two tubewells and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Marar is also surrounded byTwo lakes.
