Malmö Amateur Forum (MAF) is a non-profit[1] umbrella organization and playhouse for amateur theatre companies in Malmö, Sweden.[2]
The organization has three stages, rehearsal rooms, an office, ticket sales, costume wardrobe, workshop and theatrical property.[3] It is located on Torpgatan 21, Malmö.[4][5] Currently, it houses around 30 amateur theatre companies.[6][7]
History
In 1993 AMALIA was founded (Amatörteatergrupper i Malmö) as an umbrella organization for amateur theatre companies in Malmö. Two years later, Studioteatern declared bankruptcy and AMALIA was recreated as Malmö Amateur Forum (MAF).[8][9][10]

Malmö Amatörteaterforum, Maf, bildades efter att amatörteaterföreningen Studioteatern gått i konkurs 1995. Då fanns redan en organisation, Amalia, som samlade de mindre amatörteatergrupperna i Malmö och den bytte namn till Maf och flyttade in i Studioteaterns lokaler på Skolgatan där också scener, repetitionslokaler, ateljé, förråd och kontor finns.
