Mahmoodpur is a small village of 163 hectares in Ramnagar Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahmoodpur depends on suratganj, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mahmoodpur's pin code is 225305[4], and village code is 05731000. The area of Mahmoodpur is segregated as 56 hectares irrigated area, 62 hectares unirrigated area. the 3.787 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.
